BEFORE YOU APPLY

A thoughtful plan for your Canadian education.

A good study plan combines academic fit, affordability and a clear understanding of the requirements. Use these questions to prepare for your discussion.

01

Compare programmes on their merits

Look at the credential, curriculum, campus and academic progression. Compare the total cost and course outcomes using the institution’s published information.

02

Verify the institution and programme

Check the institution’s designated learning institution status. PGWP eligibility is a separate check: not every institution or programme qualifies, and additional conditions can apply.

03

Prepare your application evidence

Confirm academic prerequisites, language requirements, deadlines and any required references with the provider. Ask how deposits and refund conditions work before accepting an offer.

04

Understand study permit requirements

Most foreign nationals need a study permit. The documents required depend on the application, including any applicable provincial or territorial attestation requirements. Follow IRCC’s current instructions.

05

Separate study from immigration outcomes

Permission to work, PGWP eligibility and any future immigration application have their own rules. Admission is not a promise of a work permit, a job or permanent residency.

06

Budget and plan your arrival

Include tuition, travel, health coverage, housing and living expenses. Discuss available arrival guidance before travel and check any local provider and costs independently.

A CONVERSATION ABOUT YOUR GOALS

Come with questions.
Leave with next steps.

What should I prepare for my assessment?

Have your highest qualification, preferred course, budget and intended intake in mind. We can discuss your Canada options without collecting identity or financial documents at this stage.

Can I choose a university that TAPEX does not partner with?

Yes, your university choice remains yours. Ask us about your preferred institution, including a non-partner university. We will explain whether support is feasible and agree the scope and any charges before proceeding.

Is all study-abroad support free?

The initial profile assessment is free. Ask for written confirmation of the scope and any fees for further services. University, lender, government and third-party charges are separate.

Can you guarantee admission, a scholarship or a visa?

No. Universities decide admission, awarding bodies decide scholarships, lenders decide loans, and immigration authorities decide visas. We help you understand and prepare for these processes.
